The task of picking out bridesmaids to walk beside you on your big day is oftentimes one of the most difficult parts of early wedding planning. You don't want any of your girls (or boys!) to feel left out, but you also don't want 20+ people in your wedding party. Lucky for you, Anna Kendrick is here to make your decision that much easier, considering she refuses to take part in another bridal party. Aside from her BFF's wedding in Maine in the summer of 2015, Kendrick is SO done being any girl's bridesmaid. So done, in fact, that she avoids making friendships with girls in the first place!
The Pitch Perfect star recently opened up about her wedding qualms on Late Night with Seth Meyers saying, "It's like watching your friends put on a little pageant… I feel like I've potentially avoided making very close female friends 'cause I don't want to be a bridesmaid. If you put me on an email chain and tell me I have to wear ballet-pink nail polish, I will kill you where you stand. It's a deal-breaker."
So that's noted: Do not even TRY to invite Anna Kendrick to your wedding—or else you risk putting your life on the line, girlfriend.
In all fairness, though, Kendrick is much too busy to be gallivanting around in a frilly pastel-hued bridesmaid dress, tending to a bride's every need. The actress is currently working on the threequel to Pitch Perfect, along with a smattering of other sure-to-be box office hits. So instead of sending Kendrick a DIY "Will You Be My Bridesmaid?!" gift box, try these tips for narrowing down the girls in your bridal party. And once the headcount is complete, feel free to host a pizza & Pitch Perfect moviethon with your closest gals to satisfy your Kendrick obsession. It'll almost be like she's there with you!
