Last week, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt, our celebrity couple role models, called it quits after eight years of marriage and needless to say we are all still shook. After a stormy week of rumors and speculation over their split, Faris is coming clean about her relationship in her podcast, Anna Faris is Unqualified. In her latest episode, which aired yesterday, Faris spoke candidly about her marriage and added some very strong statements about the split that are just breaking our hearts.
During the episode, she received a call from a listener asking for relationship advice, which prompted her answer, "Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back, or somebody doesn’t fully value you. Don’t be afraid to feel your independence if things aren’t right.”
She then spoke of her own marriage, saying, "I made that mistake, I think, a little bit, like ‘I’m checking my relationship off the list’ and if that would be the final piece of advice I could give you, that would be know your worth, know your independence."
This message came shortly after a previous podcast, where she thanked her fans for their support following the split, saying, "Hey, dear listeners, I just want to thank you all so much for all the love I’ve been receiving, and I truly love you.”
On August 6, Faris and Pratt both posted a statement confirming their split to social media. Naturally, their announcement created a gossip frenzy, sparking rumors of Pratt's infidelity and other speculations about why the seemingly perfect Hollywood couple would separate.
Chris made his first public appearance since the big announcement when he accepted the award for Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actor at the Teen Choice Awards this weekend— and wasn't wearing his wedding band.
Hopefully the two can work it out and stay happy through this tough time; meanwhile, we'll be over here crying.
