This morning it was confirmed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie wed in a small and intimate ceremony at Chateau Miraval in France this past weekend. But one very important detail wasn't discussed: Angelina's wedding dress!
It's safe to say we've been waiting for Jolie's walk down the aisle ever since Pitt popped the question in 2012. Thanks to a source close to the couple, we now have a very good idea of what she looked like on her big day!
Unlike the thigh-high slits of her past, Jolie kept it classic for her long-awaited wedding. The superstar's dress was apparently "very traditional, but very Angie, it was comfortable but plain white floor-length antique lace and silk," the source told E! News. No word yet on who designed it.
Her something borrowed was reportedly extremely sweet: "[She] definitely wore something that once belonged to [her mother] Marcheline Bertrand," the insider continued. "A small gold locket with a photo of her mom inside it." She also had a veil, and when "Brad lifted it [he] gasped because she looked so stunning," the source recalled.
As for their six children, who played an intregral role in the ceremony, they all chose looks that reflected their individual personalities. The source explained: "The boys all wore tiny matching cream linen suits which were just like Brad's [tux] while the girls had each chosen a dress to match their own individual style and they had them specially made."
The source further shared that their wedding rings (which has already been spotted on Pitt), "were designed by their good friend Robert Procop."
Shortly after the wedding, it was straight back to work for the Jolie-Pitt clan. According to Us Weekly, the family of eight headed to Malta following the ceremony, where they're all staying in an eco-friendly villa as Jolie inspects the set of By the Sea, a film she wrote and is directing, which Pitt will co-star in.
