Angel Sanchez is known for his stunning wedding dresses which feature architectural silhouettes and graceful fabrics. Plus, the designer is a red-carpet favorite, dressing everyone from Taylor Swift and Gisele Bndchen, to Beyoncé and Elizabeth Hurley.
The Venezuelan-born designer just debuted his powerfully romantic bridal collection at New York Bridal Fashion Week, and we caught up with Sanchez to hear about his inspiration, his unique approach to designing his bridal line, and why brides should always wear a veil.
Want to channel your own strong sense of style, while still looking classic? The designer has mastered the combination.
"I called this collection Moonlight Romance, because I was inspired by the moon and its romantic influence on lovers. I wanted to create a collection that was bold, yet as delicate as the moon itself," said the designer. "My bridal style is a reimagined take on the classic — my goal is to accomplish a fresh and contemporary effect without excesses."

He may be known for his red carpet moments, but the designer been creating bridal since the early days of his collection.
"For me, the entire process of designing a bridal collection flows in a very natural way, and I find it to be much less stressful than when I design a collection of ready-to-wear. Perhaps that's because I'm not worried about a color palette, or trends, but rather I just follow my instincts. I am always inspired for the bridal collection when I look back at references from my years of designing custom bridal dresses. My favorite silhouette is a sleeveless boat-neck," said the designer, "with a cut-in waist, and a medium train."
Brides should pay attention to Sanchez's top three bridal fashion tips.
"My top three styling tips for brides on their wedding day is first to avoid going overboard with makeup," explained the designer. "The face of love is always natural!" Sanchez prefers a refined take to bridal beauty and style, noting, "brides shouldn't try to be too sexy, I think a bride should be delicate. Finally, always wear a veil — it gives a bride a unique aura."

His dream bride? Taylor Swift.
"Since the day I first saw Taylor Swift wearing a red one-shouldered gown from my collection six years ago, it's been my dream to make her wedding dress," Sanchez explains. "In my eyes, she has all the characteristics of the ideal bride — a combination of modern, fresh, and very feminine."
