If you were a die-hard early aughts America's Next Top Model fan (because who wasn't?), you'll likely remember Adrianne Curry, who won the series' very first cycle and consequently landed a modeling contract back in 2003. Now, 15 years later, the 36-year-old is making headlines yet again for her elopement to now-husband Matthew Rhode, which blended components of Game of Thrones and Westworld for a gorgeous TV-inspired celebration.
Curry took to her personal blog to share every detail of the intimate September 15 wedding at Glacier National Park in Montana. With their photographer, Brooke Stephens-Patrick, doubling as an officiant, the couple chose not to invite any friends and family. "The stress and agony of wedding planning is just not for me," Curry admitted. The reality TV star also added that she and Rhode "wanted an intimate and meaningful wedding."
Intimate and meaningful it was, with the bride and groom taking to looks inspired by their favorite television shows. Following the pair's April 5, 2017 engagement, Curry immediately sprung into action designing her wedding gown, deciding on a champagne-colored, chiffon version of Daenerys's metal-infused Qarth dress from GoT. She accessorized with a laser-cut tiara and a red bouquet. Rhode, on the other hand, opted for a look courtesy of Westworld, with a gray vest, khakis, and a blue button down. "Our exchange was perfectly nerdy," Curry wrote.
The ANTM alum also added a few photo snippets from the wedding day to her post, including the duo's lakeside vow exchange, which featured a few anecdotes from Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Watchmen , and, naturally, Game of Thrones. "My stomach started flipping," the bride said leading up to the outdoor ceremony. "Not out of fear or nervousness, but sheer excitement." Unsurprisingly, Curry's "smize" in each picturesque shot came out on top (see what we did there?) and would make Tyra Banks a proud mentor.
Curry's photographer also shared some stunning shots to his Instagram page.
Following the elopement, the newlyweds enjoyed a one-on-one dinner and retreated to their room for their first dance, courtesy of an iPod speaker. A GoT wedding cake was a must, complete with armor, a dire wolf, and their house name. All in all, Curry described the wedding as "one of the best weekends of my life."
Congrats to Adrianne Curry and Matthew Rhode, and we hope that after reading this that you, too, have the America's Next Top Model theme song stuck in your head.
