Ummm, do you have anything you'd like to share with the class there, Amber? Star of the Teen Mom franchise Amber Portwood and her fiancé just sent her fans into a tizzy with some awfully suspicious Instagram photos that led them to believe that the reality show duo had actually gotten married this weekend—in Las Vegas of all places! An off-camera elopement?! How dare they not invite MTV along for the ride! Here's what actually went down during their wedding weekend.
The wedding rumors between the pair (whose relationship has been chronicled on MTV's Teen Mom since they began dating in 2014) all started when Portwood's fiancé, Matt Baier, took to Instagram on to post a photo of a sign that read "Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married." Uh, excuse us?!
"Off to Vegas in the morning," Baier captioned the photo. "Everyone have a nice weekend."
Of course, fans lost their damn minds over the cryptic photo and later posts only seemed to confirm the nuptial news. First, Portwood snapped a selfie of her and her bae with the caption, "In Vegas with my babe," confirming that the pair was indeed in Las Vegas—a.k.a the unofficial elopement capital of the world. Then Baier also shared a snapshot of himself trying on a tux, accompanied by the hashtag, "#creativebridalwearlasvegas." WTH is going on here?!
As it turns out, Portwood and Baier DID in fact attend a wedding in Vegas this weekend—just not their own.
After a couple days of letting us sweat it out, Portwood set the record straight, posting another selfie of herself and her sweetie. "Hi loves from Vegas again!!" she captioned the photo. "No we didn't get married however we went to a wedding."
Baier posted a similar snapshot, captioning the pic, "Ty everyone for ur well wishes but it's not our wedding. It's for our good friends Wayne and Annette. BOOO! (But congrats to Wayne and Annette, we guess?)
But no need to fret. Let us not forget that even though Portwood and Baier have given no indication of when they plan to actually tie the knot, there's still plenty a Teen Mom wedding to look forward to. Ryan Edwards popped the question to his girlfriend, Mackenzie Standifer, back in December. Teen Mom 2's Jo Rivera is also planning his I do's after proposing to his girlfriend, Vee Torres, last year. And most recently, Jenelle Evans also became a bride-to-be after her honey, David Eason, proposed just a few weeks ago.
Bring on the reality TV wedding drama!
