Keegan-Michael Key is married! According to People, the 48-year-old comedian and actor tied the knot with producer and director Elisa Pugliese in an ceremony in New York City on Friday. The two kept the ceremony small, celebrating with family members and close friends.
The Key and Peele actor took to Instagram to share a special shot of he and his wife on their big day. "Best. Day. Ever." Key wrote alongside the photo.
The bride wore a Prada gown while Key chose a suit by Paul Smith. Pugliese carried a bouquet of orchids designed by Elan Flowers. The two hosted a reception celebration the following evening at the One World Trade Observatory, where Pugliese opted for a dramatic purple gown.
Ceci New York, who designed the couple's wedding invitations, shared the beautiful prints on their Instagram account. "Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Key!" the company wrote in a caption. "We loved designing your wedding invitations for your best day ever! So completely happy for you both!!
Key proposed to Pugliese in November 2017. He announced the exciting news on Twitter at the time, sharing a selfie with he and his then-fiancé along with the caption, "She shows me every day that each one of us has the ability to help make the world a better place. I’m the luckiest man ever. She said yes!"
Earlier this year, Key's co-star, Jordan Peele, announced that he and his now-wife, Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Chelsea Peretti, secretly eloped in Big Sur—and didn't tell anyone but their dog. It's unclear whether Peele was in attendance for his costar's big day this weekend, but we're sure the two will celebrate soon.
Congrats to the happy couple!
