When it comes to wedding planning, former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky is not your traditional bride. The reality star, who got engaged to her radio host boyfriend Kevin Manno on September 3, opened up to People about her desire for a quickie wedding — and her plans for a family that are soon to follow!
"I always thought I wanted a destination wedding. But now that I'm actually planning, I don't know," Fedotowsky said, also revealing that her own nuptials won't be the usual spectacle of so many other celebrity weddings. "I'm so not traditional," Fedotowsky confessed. "I want anything but traditional. But I don't care really. I almost would rather elope."
So what's the reasoning behind her race to the altar? No, Fedotowsky isn't pregnant — not yet at least! — but the couple's desire to have children is a big reason behind their quickie nuptials. "I'm really open about my life, and we want to have kids," the bride-to-be shared.
Before Manno popped the question and put a ring on it, the twosome discussed the possibility of trying to get pregnant before planning a wedding, but the Bachelorette star told People that she decided she wanted "to have that bride experience before having a family."

Fedotowsky's want for a nontraditional wedding also extends to her bridal look. "I definitely won't have a ball gown dress," she says. And as far as her footwear goes, it will be anything but formal. "I plan on being either barefoot or wearing Converses on my wedding day," she adds. "It's one or the other. No heels."
As for who's doing most of the planning? Fedotowsky and her fiancé are swaying from the norm there, too — the couple is tackling the planning process together. "Neither one of us is traditional in the sense of, 'Oh, the woman plans the wedding.' It's our day, we're going to plan it together."
"He just wants to do whatever makes me happy, but he wants to be involved with everything," she said.
