Back in September, tennis superstar Serena Williams welcomed her baby daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., into the world. Named after her father, Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, the little one has already technically won one Grand Slam, since her mother was carrying her in the womb when she won her 23rd Grand Slam singles title. Having taken a five-month maternal leave after the arrival of little Alexis, Williams made her return to the tennis court on February 10 and 11, representing the United States in the Fed Cup.
Now, Alexis Sr. is celebrating his wife's tennis comeback in the most romantically over-the-top way possible: with four billboards.
Taking to Twitter, Ohanian uploaded photos of the signage in question on Tuesday morning. "These just went up on alongside I-10 into Palm Springs. @OlympiaOhanian & I wanted to welcome her back to tennis. Designed them myself, with some help from Jr. #GMOAT" The billboards are basically a sky-high tribute to the sheer awesomeness of Serena Williams. In all-caps superimposed over pictures of Alexis Jr. beaming at the camera and snuggled in the arms of Williams (awww), the message reads: "GREATEST MOMMA OF ALL TIME Serena Williams G.M.O.A.T.
-Alexis Jr + Sr."
Clearly, Ohanian is a fan of heartwarmingly extra declarations of love. Shortly after Alexis Jr. was born, he made a Kylie Jenner–esque video welcoming his daughter, and even redesigned the Reddit logo so it looked like his family. Before that, he told the world that he was preparing for his dad duties by asking Reddit for tips. "My favorite (tip) is to sleep with a blanket for like a month before the due date so you get your dad scent all over it, and then wrap the baby in it once it shows up, so they're not just immediately bonding with mom but also getting a bit of dad," he told TODAY Parents.
