Sunday night's Grammy Awards were chock full of unbelievable performances and even a little award drama: people were shocked when Beyoncé's Lemonade didn't win Album of the Year. Adele, who did win, was just as surprised as anyone else and basically made her entire acceptance speech a tribute to Bey.
But lost in that moment was another, barely perceptible news-worthy moment: The singer seems to have confirmed during the speech that she is, in fact, married to longtime love Simon Konecki.
While doling out thank you's during her acceptance, Adele (maybe accidentally?) referred to Simon as her husband. "Grammys, I appreciate it, the Academy, I love you, my manager, my husband and my son — you’re the only reason I do it," she said. According to People, Adele later called Simon her "partner" while answering questions from the press.
It's been rumored that Adele and Simon, who are parents to 4-year-old Angelo, are married for a while now, but speculation reached a new level last month when the pair was spotted wearing rings on those fingers. Neither commented on their relationship at the time, but now finally it seems we have Adele's on word on the matter.
And for the record, Adele and Simon aren't shy about their love for one another, despite keeping mum on their actual relationship status (which isn't really our right to know if they don't want to share, anyway). Last October, the two gave us all major #CoupleGoals when Simon surprised her for their anniversary with heaps of confetti decorated with handwritten love notes at her Nashville concert. Now that's love.
At least we know one thing for sure: Their love ain't water under the bridge.
