In what might just be the best BFF night out in celebrity history, Jennifer Lawrence and Adele hit up a New York City gay bar on Friday night to celebrate Lawrence's recent engagement to Cooke Maroney.
The A-list duo were spotted at Pieces, an well known locale in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, where Adele got onstage with a drag queen named Brita Filter, The Sun reports. She introduced herself to the crowd, saying "I'm Adele," (um, duh), before pointing to Lawrence and announcing, "She's f***ing engaged!"
Ms. Filter then asked Adele what she does for a living, to which she replied, "I'm actually at the moment a stay-at-home mum," referring to her six-year-old son, Angelo. Then, Brita asked if the singer was "ready to mingle and have a great time with the gays tonight," to which Adele replied: "F***ing obviously." She then reportedly partook in a drinking game, but lost, prompting J. Law to ask, "How could you f***ing lose?!" Later in the night, they hit the dance floor. Hard.
Lawrence announced her engagement in early February, and showed off a massive diamond ring during Paris Fashion Week a few weeks later. The 28-year-old actress confirmed her relationship with art gallery director, Cooke Maroney, in June of 2018, and since then they've been spotted together on various occasions throughout New York City.
Sure, Jennifer Lawrence may be engaged, but clearly she isn't going to let having a future husband at home stop her from having a wild girls' night out. And in addition to Adele, the Red Sparrow star has quite the girl gang to celebrate with: Her other besties include comedian Amy Schumer, whose wedding she attended last year, and *La La Land'*s Emma Stone. If this is just the engagement celebration, we can't wait to see what she has in store for her bachelorette party.
