If Adele's objective at her Brisbane, Australia, concert this weekend was to "Make You Feel My Love," we'd say, goal achieved. The singer took a break from showing off her impressive pipes during the performance, opening up to the audience about her marriage to Simon Konecki for one of the very first times.
After tons of speculation, Adele seemingly confirmed her marriage to her honey during her acceptance speech at the 2017 Grammy Awards, referring to Simon Konecki as her hubby. "Grammys, I appreciate it; the Academy, I love you; my manager, my husband, and my son—you’re the only reason I do it," she said.
But after letting the h-word (accidentally?) slip during that crazy moment, Adele went back to her typically tight-lipped ways when it comes to her relationship with Konecki—until this weekend, that is!
According to People magazine, Adele once again confirmed her marriage to Konecki during her concert in Australia on Sunday as she discussed her 2011 hit "Someone Like You" with the audience.
"I could see in their eyes as they were listening to it on their headphones that it reminded them of something or someone," she explained. "I was trying to remember how it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record, because as bad as a break up can be, as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth, and I am addicted to that feeling."
And then she dropped the bomb: "Obviously I can't go through with those feelings because I'm married now. I've found my next person."
Never mind, she really did find someone like you—but better! This now marks the second time Adele has publicly confirmed her nupitals to Konecki, with whom she shares their four-year-old son, Angelo.
