On our recent list of the most beautiful sites to get engaged, it seems that we forgot a super popular place to pop the question: Adele's concerts! Apparently everyone and their mother is getting engaged at Adele's concerts, making us think that the Grammy winner should just get herself ordained as a wedding officiant and cut out the middleman. Yet another adorable duo just made it #official on Adele's concert stage, when this handsome fella dropped to one knee and popped the question.
When Adele crooned "Make You Feel My Love" to the audience at her Melbourne, Australia, show on Sunday, two concertgoers must have really taken her words to heart. According to E! News, Adele surprised two men named Chris and Wade when she pulled the both of them up on stage after she noticed Chris' emotional response to her hit single "Hello." But then it was the superstar singer who got a surprise when Wade dropped to one knee in front of his love—and the entire Etihad Stadium!—and proposed to Chris.
With a huge smile on her face, Adele stood beside the couple clapping, and the crowd went crazier than they do whenever she sings one of heart-wrenching ballads. Then, Chris said yes (twice, in fact!) as the stadium erupted into cheers.
"That wasn't planned—I had no idea," Adele told the crowd as she embraced the couple, wishing them congratulations. But we think the "Send My Love" singer should come to expect this by now! Concerts of the Grammy-winning singer have been known to inspire more than one bended-knee moment from touched audience members, such as Swedish fans André Söderberg and Simon Carlsson, who got engaged at the star's Denmark show in May of last year. "Should I be your surrogate if you have children? I'd love to have a baby with someone Swedish," Adele cheekily told the couple.
There was also a couple in London last year who got engaged in front of Adele and her concertgoers. "Did you just get engaged? Oh god!" the songstress exclaimed when she noticed that a proposal was going down in the stadium. "I thought there was a fight at first," she hilariously noted.
OMG, what a relief!
