The Super Bowl is an American tradition that we get hyped for every year. From the game and the iconic commercials to the huge halftime show — It’s the biggest day of the year for sports and it’s already here!

Sure, the Super Bowl is going to look slightly different this year, but we still can’t wait to cozy up on the couch and fight with our family or boo about who’s going to win.

In honor of the big game on Sunday, we’ve rounded up the cutest proposals that have ever happened at sporting events — and these guys really hit it out of the park! Here’s to hoping we see a romantic gesture like this on Sunday (although, both quarterbacks are already taken!)

Tom Bosworth and Harry Dineley

At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, British race walker Tom Bosworth and his boyfriend Harry Dineley were on a walk on Rio's Copacabana beach. The Olympian got down on one knee and popped the question. He posted the sweet moment to Instagram writing, "Could this week get any better? He said yes by the way!"

Carlos Correa

After winning the World Series with the Astros, Carlos Correa popped the question on national television. The shortstop said he had been planning to propose after they won — so it’s a good thing they did!

Drue Chrisman

The former Ohio State football player proposed to his girlfriend Avery (now) Chrisman during the school’s “spring game.”

Avery went to the field to take a shot at kicking the football when Chrisman stopped her and pulled out a ring. After she said yes his teammates stormed the field to embrace and congratulate the couple.

Isadora Cerullo and Marjorie Enya

At the 2016 Summer Olympics, Brazilian rugby player Isadora Cerullo got engaged to her girlfriend and Olympic volunteer Marjorie Enya. After the medal ceremony Enya proposed to the Rugby player. Cerullo grabbed a mic and announced, "I wanted to show people that love wins."

Bradley Bozeman

The former Alabama lineman proposed to his girlfriend after Alabama clinched the National Championship in overtime during the 2018 game against Georgia.

Deion Pierre

The former Samford linebacker proposed with the help of his teammates. They all surrounded his girlfriend on the field and danced and sang to “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. Then Pierre made his way over to the circle and got down on one knee.

Shawn Johnson and Andrew East

This Olympic gold medalist was throwing the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs baseball game. Her boyfriend at the time, football player Andrew East came up after the pitch and popped the question. She said yes, of course, and now the couple is married and expecting their second child together.

Yankees Fan

While proposing during a Yankees game, the fan dropped the ring! But don’t fret because with the help of the surrounding spectators, the couple quickly found it and resumed the proposal.

Marlyn Sanchez, Miami Marlins Fan

This Marlins fan, who sings the National Anthem at Marlins Park quite frequently, was asked one game to throw the first pitch. Unbeknownst to her, her boyfriend was disguised as the catcher. After she threw the pitch and he took off his helmet and proposed!

Sixers Fan

Two Philadelphia Sixers fans were participating in one of the intermission games on the court. But really the whole thing was just a reuse for a proposal. After Tayla made the three-pointer, Fox was waiting behind her on one knee!

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews

This quarterback who will be leading his team to another Super Bowl game on Sunday, proposed to his then-girlfriend Brittany Matthews at their Super Bowl ring ceremony in September.

Shortly after the ceremony, he got down on one and gave Matthews her own ring in front of a beautiful flower wall and “Will You Marry Me” in light-up letters. Mahomes shared the proposal on Instagram with the hashtag #RingSzn.
