Sofia Richie Shares Never-Before-Seen Engagement Photos With Elliot Grainge

Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge hit a milestone in their relationship after the music executive popped the question in April of 2022. Eight months later, the model is still celebrating the life-changing occasion. On December 31, 2022, the fashion maven ended the year by posting a carousel of never-before-seen photos after the moment Grainge asked the ultimate question. “2022, thanks for the most special moment of my life 😉@elliot,” the post says. 

The first snapshot features the duo locking lips while Richie shows off her six-carat emerald-cut diamond in a platinum solitaire setting from designer Stephanie Gottlieb. The next photo gives a glimpse of the details behind the proposal, which includes an aisle lined with glowing pillar candles and scattered with flowers, leading to a table topped with a bottle of champagne. The final two images show the social media personality holding up her left hand and debuting her new diamond rock and a selfie of the newly-engaged pair.

The daughter of legendary singer Lionel Richie first announced her engagement to the founder and CEO of record label 10K on April 20, 2022. "Forever isn't enough @elliot,” the bride-to-be captioned a series of photos from the proposal. Based on the images, Grainge got down on one knee in a bed of flowers surrounded by candles at sunset. Many fellow celebrities flocked to the comments section and expressed their well wishes. “😍😍😍😍😍 ahhhhh,” Lily Collins wrote. Paris Hilton also shared her excitement. “Congratulations sis!!😍,” she commented. “So happy for you two! Love you!🥰.” Bella Hadid couldn’t hide her happiness by exclaiming, “Omg!!!!!”

Six months after they took their relationship to the next level, Richie threw a glamorous bachelorette party in Paris. She gave her followers a look into the affair on social media by sharing a photo of herself standing beneath a ceiling covered in silver and pink balloons while wearing black pajamas. “Ready for the best week with my people🤍👰‍♀️,” she wrote. The model also captured details from the party on her Instagram Story, which included “Miss to Mrs.” pillowcases, a ring-shaped cake, and bedazzled shot glasses. 

Richie and Grainge went public with their relationship in April of 2021, but they’ve known each other for years before they started dating. According to People, Richie’s father frequently collaborated with Grainge’s father, Sir Lucian Grainge. “I love Elliot,” the “Hello” singer previously told Access Hollywood. “I’ve known him since he was 12. It was one of those things where I don’t have to go back and check out the kid. I know who he is.” Since then, the couple has been lucky in love. "They make each other really happy," a source told People. "He's very mature and hardworking. He has his own house, and she moved in with him a while ago. All of her friends are thrilled that she found true love. They're a great match for each other."
