Famed ready-to-wear designer, Simone Rocha, and luxury online retailer, Mytheresa, have just debuted their new bridal capsule collection. An extension to Rocha's Spring/Summer 2021 line, this new capsule includes eight magnificent bridal pieces–perfectly made for the modern, ethereal and romantic bride.
In a press release sent out by Mytheresa, Rocha explains, "The idea behind this exclusive bridal collection is to translate signatures from the SS21 collection into the world of bridal through fabrications, embellishments, and embroideries." Mytheresa adds, "Challenging our preconception of femininity, the collection comprises dresses of all lengths, from mini to long, and features oversized silhouettes with voluminous sleeves, abstract shapes, beads, and embroideries, in shades of petal pink, pastel yellow, and white."
The ‘Simone Rocha x Mytheresa’ line includes dresses made with silk taffeta, tulle, and lace organza. It also includes accessories like earrings, a headband, and a hair clip with faux-pearl embellishments. Though each piece offers a different style profile, Rocha cohesively pulls the dresses together with her design element of puff sleeves, exemplifying the versatile yet streamlined nature of the collection.
There is no better designer to create such a collection. The capsule is versatile yet the pieces are special enough to WOW your guests.
Tiffany Hsu, Fashion Buying Director for Mythersea, told Brides, "Simone is an outstanding designer whom we admire and carry since a long time already. It’s actually the second time we are collaborating with her on a special collection, but the first one ever in our portfolio to feature solely bridalwear. Simone’s designs have always been romantic and feminine yet full of confidence and power. There is no better designer to create such a collection. The capsule is versatile yet the pieces are special enough to WOW your guests."
The bridal collection launches globally today, March 3, 2021, on Mytheresa, alongside an editorial campaign featuring French chef and food artist Laila Gohar (who enlisted Rocha to create her own wedding dress). A friend of the designer, Gohar revealed to Brides, "I was so excited when Simone agreed to make my dress. It was similar to something she made for the runway which didn’t get produced so it was super special that she took the time and effort to make it for me."
We definitely understand her excitement, and are beyond thrilled the designer chose to share her new work with the world! Head over to Mytheresa to view the full collection and purchase your favorite pieces.
