Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams Are Married

Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams are officially married! The Modern Family star and Bachelor in Paradise bartender tied the knot on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, California, People reports. The couple swapped vows in an outdoor ceremony surrounded by all of their family and friends, including Hyland’s Modern Family co-stars, such as Sofia Vergara, Nolan Gould, Julie Bowen, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. 

Hyland also confirmed the news with an Instagram post, which showcased her off-the-shoulder fit-and-flare gown and her groom's classic black tuxedo. "✨8.20.22✨," she captioned the photo.

Vergara also took to Instagram to share a photo from the big day, which featured some of her fellow Modern Family cast members. “#sarahandwells wedding❤️❤️❤️❤️,” she wrote. 

The actress and reality personality first connected on Twitter in 2016, but they didn’t officially start dating until the following year. In 2019, Adams got down on one knee and popped the question. 

The pair planned on getting married in August 2020, but due to concerns about the pandemic, they postponed their wedding multiple times. Since the couple experienced several setbacks that prevented them from tying the knot, Adams told People in 2021 that he felt good about 2022. “Now, we are hoping next year, or we’re gonna go to Vegas or the courthouse,” he joked. “Well, we’re not going to do those last two things, but I don’t know. 2022 has got to be our year, right?”

When the Love Island star talked to People last month, she shared how she doesn't think becoming newlyweds will be a huge adjustment. “We are practical,” she told the publication. “We own a house together. We have our dogs together, and we’ve been celebrating this journey of life supporting one another for almost five years now. So, I don’t think a lot is going to change.”

We’re so happy the couple finally said “I do,” and we can’t wait to watch their love continue to grow.
