Inside Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams' Intimate Engagement Party

Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams have said they're taking their time with wedding planning so they can enjoy their engagement, and this weekend, they did just that. The couple celebrated their eventual walk down the aisle with close friends and family during a sweet, intimate party that they shared a few glimpses of on Instagram.

Adams popped the question back in July during a romantic, beachside proposal, during which he gave Hyland a stunning, oval-shaped diamond ring (Hyland has said she had picked out exactly what she wanted.) At their party this weekend, the couple got their loved ones in on early wedding plans by asking to suggest potential first dance songs for the big day while playing a couple of party games and enjoying outdoor drinks. The get-together was elegant and featured tons of framed photos, flower arrangements, and white-and-gold cookies that said "Future Mrs. Adams," according to E News.

Hyland and Adams even made a toast to their inner circle, who included Hyland's Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, as well as Debbie Ryan and newly engaged couple Adam DeVine and Chloe Bridges. Hyland shared a clip of her speech in her Instagram story; it shows her standing in front of her guests in a sleek, strapless white dress, saying, "You are all obviously here today because you have such a special place in our hearts, we love you so very much." She then turned to Adams and asked him if he had anything to add. He joked, "Well we paid for all of this so drink up, I guess. Thanks for coming guys!" 

Later, they each posted a few photos from the party. "Over 2 years ago, he asked me out for drinks and tacos. We still do the same thing now... just engaged... so Thank you @casamigos for keepin our dream alive with tequila," Hyland wrote in the caption of hers. Adams took a much more comedic approach and cracked, "I mean, who wouldn’t want to marry me?" in a shot of the couple together.
