"A couple, a pandemic, & a postponed wedding: A series." Does this sound all too familiar? Yesterday (Aug. 9), Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams mimicked the sentiments of most #coronacouples this wedding season who’ve had to postpone their nuptials. The Modern Family star continued her caption under a photo of the pair at a vineyard, "We were supposed to get married today. Instead... we took pictures and drank wine. I love you to Pluto & back @wellsadams ✨."
The couple wore all white to commemorate the occasion and the 29-year-old bride-to-be even donned a veil with her sunhat. Hyland and the Bachelor In Paradise star seemed to be in good spirits despite having to wait to tie the knot. In the photos they shared via Instagram, there were smiles, laughs and booty grabs.
"We were supposed to get married today. We didn’t. But I still got to grab a butt. So, ya know, still pretttty cool," Adams, 36, wrote.
There was also a bride and groom mask photo op along with a PSA on mask etiquette courtesy of the actress: "On our wedding day...we didn't get married. Also...#wearadamnmask"
It’s safe to say that the couple who got engaged in Fiji last July is taking this all in stride.
"I think right now there are more important things to worry about," Hyland told PEOPLE last month.
"We definitely want to get married one day and have the wedding of our dreams and have everybody that we love there," she added. "But we postponed wedding planning because we want to be able to focus on what's important right now, and that's helping to spread information to wear masks and to only go out for essential needs and also take a really big look inside yourself and reflect on how you treat others."
