While Ronan Farrow's new book Catch and Kill uncovers political secrets and conspiracies, our favorite revelation in the work deals with the author himself. Farrow is engaged is to Pod Save America host Jon Lovett and even used a draft of the book to pop the question.
The award-winning investigative journalist discusses exactly how the proposal went down in his new book. "Later, when I decided some of that reporting would make its way into a book, I’d send him a draft, and put in a question, right on this page: ‘Marriage?’” Farrow wrote in the book, per People. “On the moon or even here on Earth. He read the draft, found the proposal here, and said, ‘Sure.’”
As for the moon jokes, Farrow also revealed earlier in the book that the couple often joked about getting married on the moon. "'Just working on my vows for the ceremony. On the moon. In our gravity boots,'" Lovett told Ronan during a phone call. "This was a running joke. Jonathan's mother wanted grandchildren, and not in the age of lunar bases," he wrote.
According to Farrow, he first met his now-fiancé shortly after Lovett left his job as a speechwriter for President Obama in 2011. And while they keep their relationship largely out of the spotlight, we hope more romantic revelations are revealed in Farrow's future work!
Congratulations to the newly engaged!
