Rod Stewart's Son Sean Stewart Is Married to Jody Weintraub

Most couples spend months planning their dream weddings, but Sean Stewart (Rod Stewart’s son) and his girlfriend Jody Weintraub’s timeline looked a little different. On Valentine’s Day, the entrepreneur and producer intended on taking a trip to Las Vegas, but it soon escalated into something life-changing. Sean proposed to Jody on February 14, 2023, at the restaurant Catch, and instead of wasting any time, they decided at the last minute to head to the courthouse to exchange vows, a source tells People. According to the insider, the couple obtained their marriage license at 10 p.m. at Little Church of the West. 

Immediately after Sean proposed, he called his mom Alana Stewart on the way to the Las Vegas courthouse to share the news. The source notes that Alana wasn’t convinced at first because “he’s known as a bit of a jokester in the family.” After they said “I do,” Sean sent his mom photos and videos, and she got emotional, according to the insider. The Stewarts & Hamiltons actress even posted about the momentous occasion on Instagram on February 21, 2023, and expressed her excitement for her son. “Congratulations to my boy @seanstewart and his beautiful bride @jody_weintraubstewart who surprised us all with a spur of the moment Las Vegas wedding,” her caption says. "I'm so happy for you both!👰‍♀️🤵🏻❤️🍾🎂.” Sean also told his dad, singer-songwriter Rod Stewart, about the wedding. At the time, Rod was on the road to Tampa to perform at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. “His dad was so happy to hear the news,” the source shares. 

For the impromptu ceremony, the couple kept it casual with Sean in jeans and a YSL sweater while his bride donned a black cashmere jumpsuit, People reports. Instead of an elaborate reception, they celebrated just the two of them back at the Wynn Hotel, where they were staying. “They just went back to the hotel after,” the insider says. “It was kind of like, ‘Holy s***, we just got married.’ But they were so, so excited and didn’t regret one thing. Their relationship and connection is solid.” 

Even though Sean’s parents, who were married in 1979 and divorced in 1984, weren’t there to witness the vow exchange, they commemorated their son’s nuptials at Nobu in Malibu after the couple returned to Los Angeles. According to the insider, the newlyweds will host a more traditional wedding in the summer of 2023 at Marbella Beach Club in Spain, and their friends and family will be in attendance.

Sean and Jody have known each other since high school, and they have such a strong connection since the two of them have similar backgrounds and values. “Sean and Jody share a best friend, Courtenay Semal, which was the reason why they kept reconnecting over the years,” the insider explains. “They both have famous families." Sean also acts as a father figure to Jody's son, Doc, which has strengthened their relationship. "They go to the beach,” the source says. “He reads him books. He takes him to karate class. They play Magna-Tiles. They're cute together! There's no drama.”
