On this day two years ago, Princess Eugenie got her happily ever after when she married Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle. We remember live-streaming it like it was yesterday! The couple has settled into wedded bliss in the years following their gorgeous nuptials attended by A-list guests, like Naomi Cambell, Demi Moore, Cara Delevingne, and the entire Royal Family, of course!

To commemorate the memory, Princess Eugenie posted an adorable video montage on her Instagram. “Been the best 2 years married to you and 10 years with you in total…” she wrote. “Happy memories always my dear Jack.” The video features photos of the couple over the years, including beautiful pictures of Brooksbank and Princess Eugenie in her stunning Peter Pilotto wedding gown on their special day, all set to London Grammar’s “Baby It’s You.”

The couple exchanged vows on October 12, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, a popular venue among royals—Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose this spot to say “I do” just five months prior to Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank. The castle also recently reopened to visitors with several safety protocols following its coronavirus lockdown earlier this year. On display at the castle now until November 22 is Princess Eugenie’s sister Princess Beatrice’s vintage wedding dress. The Sir Noman Hartnell dress was originally worn by Her Majesty the Queen in the 1960s. Princess Beatrice wed Edoardo Mapelli in a private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor in July of this year.

Princess Eugenie’s anniversary post comes just a few weeks after her and Brooksbank’s exciting pregnancy announcement. She posted the news to Instagram with the caption, “Jack and I are so excited for early 2021 …” The post included a photo of the soon-to-be-parents holding teddy bear slippers with a clear shot of Princess Eugenie’s unique, flower-shaped engagement ring, which was modeled after her mother’s. Buckingham Palace also took to Instagram to share the expansion of the family with a post that read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021.”

The couple’s anniversary celebrations will most likely be low-key due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but we’d bet that their baby-on-the-way makes for the best present! The baby will be born into a royal group of cousins that include Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children, Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis 2, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie, 17 months.

And while we couldn’t be happier for the couple to be celebrating this milestone, we’re already counting down the days until next year’s anniversary post—which will hopefully include a photo of the newest addition to their family!
