Surprise! A secret royal wedding happened this week but don’t worry, it's getting a sequel ceremony in 2021. Let us explain: Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark married aviation heiress, Nina Flohr, on Dec. 12 at the exclusive Swiss ski resort of St. Moritz. Although the prince and his longtime girlfriend have been engaged since September, this ceremony didn’t get the royal treatment that, let’s say, his fellow royal Princess Beatrice’s July wedding received (although it was quite smaller due to the pandemic).

“Just married (civilly),” Flohr posted on Instagram Tuesday (Dec. 15) under a photo of her in an embrace with Philippos. Here’s what we know of the low-key nuptials: The bride wore a chic white Chanel suit and her smile was beaming from ear to ear. The only guests in attendance were the couple’s fathers King Constantine, 80, (Prince William's godfather), and Thomas Flohr, 60, since Switzerland has strict COVID-19 policies. Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi was actually one of the first to send the newlyweds a “Congratulations.” It’s also being reported that the couple will celebrate with a religious ceremony in 2021, so hopefully, we’ll get more romantic shots like the one above sometime in the new year.

Nina works as the creative director of her father's executive jet hire company and is the founder of the Bazaruto environmental marine research facility in Mozambique.
