Princess Beatrice Just Revealed Her New Baby’s Name

Princess Beatrice just revealed her baby's name! The new mom and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi announced on October 1 that they chose the name Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi for their daughter.

"We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna," Princess Beatrice shared on her official Twitter account. The Royal Family also shared the news on their Instagram, along with an adorable photo of Sienna's footprints.

Of course, the baby's middle name is a tribute to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. Sienna shares the middle name with Prince William's daughter Charlotte Elizabeth, Zara Tindall's daughter Lena Elizabeth, and Peter Phillip's daughter Isla Elizabeth.

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also shared the photo of Sienna's footprints on Instagram along with a sweet caption. "Feeling so much love and gratitude for my amazing wife, baby Sienna and Wolfie," he wrote. "These are the days I never want to forget."

The Queen's granddaughter welcomed her first child with Mozzi on September 18, according to a statement released by Buckingham Palace on September 20.

"Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London," read the statement.

"The baby weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces," the statement continued. "The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news." The new arrival is Queen Elizabeth’s twelfth great grandchild, following the birth of Princess Eugenie’s baby in February and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s second child, Lilibet, in June.

Princess Beatrice also shared the happy news on Twitter, thanking the Midwife team and hospital workers who helped ensure the safe arrival of her daughter.

After getting engaged in Italy in September 2019, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi wed in a private ceremony last summer. Beatrice wore a stunning vintage dress by Norman Hartnell paired with the Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara—the same tiara Queen Elizabeth wore on her wedding day.

The couple's daughter is the second addition to their blended family. Beatrice is already the stepmother of Edoardo’s young son Christopher Woolf—also known as Wolfie—from a previous relationship. "Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf," read the statement.
