Congratulations are in order! Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad and Miriam Ungría y López got married in a private ceremony at Raghadan Palace on Saturday, September 3, 2022. King Abdullah II, Prince El Hassan, and Prince Talal all attended the royal wedding, according to the Royal Hashemite Court.

The court announced the news by releasing a statement along with a portrait of the newlyweds standing beside the king. In the photo, the bride wears the champagne satin gown and the groom sports they black suit that they wore for the ceremony. “The Royal Hashemite Court extends its sincere congratulations to his majesty on this occasion and wishes their royal highnesses Prince Ghazi and Princess Miriam Ghazi a lifetime of happiness,” the court said in the statement.

Since the duo has never been romantically linked in the press, the ceremony is a surprise to most.

Before marrying the Spanish noble, the first cousin of King Abdullah II of Jordan said “I do” in 1997 to Areej Zawawi, with whom he shares four children: Princess Tasneem, Prince Abdullah, Princess Jennah, and Princess Salsabeel.

The Bulgarian princess has also been remarried. She became part of the Bulgarian royal family when she wed Prince Kardam of Bulgaria, who died in 2015 after spending years in a coma due to a car accident. The couple shared two sons together.

We couldn’t be more excited that this royal couple is married!
