Exclusive: Naturi Naughton and Two Lewis's Glam Atlanta Wedding

While shooting the show Power, actress and singer Naturi Naughton went to a recording studio to record a song with her TV husband, Omari Hardwick. Little did she know, that day in February 2019, she would be meeting Omari's manager and her future real-life husband, Two Lewis. "We really just hit it off immediately," shares Naturi with Brides. "It was almost like I met someone that was like a best friend. It wasn't instantly romantic. We were just getting to know each other as people."

Shortly after, Two took Naturi on their first date to the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club in Brooklyn. "We had so much fun," says Naturi. "I won by the way." The couple decided to take their time getting to know each other and waited a full year before making things official. However, deciding to take that leap was a moment full of romance. "Two actually asked me to be his girlfriend by way of a billboard in Times Square," shares the actress. "I looked up and it said, 'Naturi, will you be my girlfriend?' I was in awe. Every step of the way, he had a plan. That's what I love about him."

With that kind of proposal to just be in a relationship, it's no wonder Two's marriage proposal was also a meaningful surprise gesture. Just two days before Christmas, he organized a family photo shoot for Naturi and her daughter, Zuri. "I just think we're doing a photo shoot for the holidays. Next thing I know, music starts playing, my family strolls in, Mickey, Goofy, and all the Disney characters Zuri loves walk in too, and he's down on one knee. He proposed to me with a gorgeous Neil Lane ring, and then he proposed to my daughter with a small ruby ring, which is her birthstone. The fact that he was so commitment to our relationship and all of our bond was really special."

When it came to choosing a venue, the couple decided on the St. Regis Atlanta, a spot Naturi visited and loved eight years ago for lunch with co-stars. "It was so majestic and regal," she recalls. "I thought, 'I could have my wedding here!'" The couple loved how open the venue felt, and the fact that they could have an outdoor and indoor portion to their wedding.

The St. Regis was the perfect complement to the couple's wedding vision. "I imagine it being a light spring wedding with lavender, touches of creams, and golds. I want it to feel soft," shares Naturi. "I honestly want to feel like I'm a princess walking down the aisle."

With the help of her planner Eliana Baucicault of ellyB Events, Naturi's wedding dream became a reality. Read ahead to see the stunning nuptials, planned by ellyB Events and photographed by Stanlo Photography.

Naturi and Two's wedding colors of lavender, eggplant, gold, and cream were on full display in the stunning invitations by Papered Wonders, who also did the menus for the reception.

Naturi spent the morning getting ready with her wedding party including her daughter Zuri, who served as a flower girl for the day, and Lala Anthony. The bridal suite was fully decked out by What’s Poppin Decor in balloons and neon signs to get the party started. The bride herself wore a stunning purple robe to get her glam done.

Naturi chose her longtime makeup artist Ashley Stewart to do "gorgeous, clean beauty" for the wedding. "I just want to look soft, beautiful, chocolatey, and glowy," shares the bride. "Then we will play and do some more interesting things for the afterparty. She also chose her hairstylist of many years, Tiffany Mack, to do her updo with a diamond headpiece for the day. "I want to give people who have been supportive of our relationships and my journey the opportunity to work with me at my wedding," Naturi adds.

Naturi's first white gown of the day was donned for a first look with her bridal party. Fun fact: she received this dress as a gift before she got engaged. "I met a bridal designer Immaculada Garcia in Barcelona when I took a trip there three years ago. I was there for a premiere with 50 Cent for Power and she dressed me," remembers Naturi. "While I was at her shop, I saw her bridal line and she said I could try one on. I said, 'Well I just started dating this guy and he could be the one.' I remember telling him that I tried on a dress and if things go well, you just might see it."

Immaculada Garcia came to New York City for bridal fashion week, and Naturi took her out to dinner. "She comes in with a garment bag and she said, 'I couldn't have imagined this dress on anyone else,'" shares the bride. "That was something I was so grateful for. I have literally now been holding this dress for three years."

For the ceremony, Naturi chose a shimmering Berta gown with a stunning bustier and charming bow ties on the shoulders. "The way the dress sparkles when I move looks like my body is covered in diamonds," says the bride. She added a long overskirt pulled by her bridal stylist Selina Howard at Vainglorious Brides in Atlanta to walk down the aisle. She notes, "I wanted to bring the drama with a long and gorgeous train."

Two got ready and said a prayer with his groomsmen before the ceremony began. The couple decided against doing a first look—"I'm very traditional," notes the bride—so they prepared to see each other in their wedding day looks as Naturi walked down the aisle.

The ceremony was truly decked out for spring with a gorgeous asymmetrical flower arch and bursts of flowers down the aisle curated by Akeem Clayton Designs.

Singer Montell Jordan is a pastor and served as the officiant for the couple. Montell and his wife Kristin were also marriage counselors for the couple! Naturi notes they are one of the main reasons the pair feel emotionally and mentally ready to take this step.

For his wedding day look, Two donned a custom cream suit by London-based Ghanaian designer Ozwald Boateng with Gucci shoes and a purple bowtie and boutonnière.

Naturi's four-year-old daughter Zuri served as flower girl for the day along with Two's niece. "She has been practicing every day and is so ecstatic," said Naturi before the wedding.

As a nod to her parents, Naturi asked saxophonist Michael Phillips to play at the ceremony. "He played at their 25th wedding anniversary and is now going to play at my wedding, too," she says. Ballerina Jennifer Mason performed before the bride walked down the aisle.

Naturi had her father walk her down the aisle to "Brown Eyed Girl" sung by Tevin Campbell. "As we were rehearsing, I already started crying," she says. "The fact that my father is still here with me and my parents have been married for 50 years makes me so grateful."

After reciting vows they wrote themselves, the couple jumped the broom and processed to "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder.

After the ceremony, the couple returned to the altar to snap photos with their large wedding party, including eight bridesmaids and eleven groomsmen. Omari Hardwick, who introduced the couple, served as one of the groom's two best men.

Vainglorious Brides styled the bridesmaids in gorgeous rose gold dresses with a variety of necklines and cuts. "I wanted to give my girls to choose a dress that would flatter their body more and not just put everybody in the same thing," shares Naturi. As for the groomsmen, they donned custom lavender suits from Threads by Tre. "We took a chance and wanted to play with color and the springtime feel," notes the bride.

"Two is literally the man of my dreams. I think he is God's way of showing me that I can find love again," shares Naturi. "Being a single mom, I didn't think I would have this moment. The fact that I found him is pretty amazing."

After saying "I do," the couple took a peek at the reception to take a look at the stunning décor before guests filled the venue.

The dreamy reception room was decked out in hundreds of florals with beautiful hanging installations and gilded accents. A sweetheart table stood out with a gorgeous purple backdrop and florals.

One unique touch? The menus designed by Papered Wonders featured a hologram photo on the back which changed between two different photos of the couple.

Before walking out, the couple had the song "Ciara's Prayer" play for guests. "I want people to know that is a prayer that I literally had for god to heal my heart and for a man to love me and my daughter," shares Naturi. Then, the tune changed to the Afrobeat song "Love in Nwatiti" as the couple danced into the crowd.

The couple then had their first dance to "Ready For Love" by India Arie. Fireworks and a smoke machine added a dreamy effect to their turn around the dance floor.

In a special moment with her father, they danced to "If We Hold On Together" by Diana Ross. The song was later mixed with the Caribbean song "Nani Wine" along with live steel drummers.

Two and his mother next danced to the song "Before I Let Go."

For the last dance, Two and his new stepdaughter Zuri took to the floor to the song "Beauty and the Beast," which was her favorite movie when they first met. "They have been practicing and are so excited," adds Naturi, who documented the whole performance from the sidelines on her phone.

All the guests, including actress Danielle Brooks, took to the dance floor as Tevin Campbell performed his song "Can We Talk" for the crowd.

Later in the night, Naturi and Two cut into their gorgeous Cakes by LaMeeka multi-tiered cake, framed by hundreds of florals and decorated with the couple's monogram.

Keeping with tradition, the couple did a bouquet and garter toss. Two even brought out his groomsmen in a dance to get the garter ceremony started.

As the party really got going, the couple swapped their ceremony outfits for more dancing-friendly looks. Naturi chose a stunning strapless high-low gown with balloon detailing in white satin. To finish her look, the bride donned sneakers to spend the rest of the night feeling comfy and stylish.

"Our last dance for the reception is a song we heard when we first started falling in love by James Arthur called 'Say You Won't Let Go.' It literally has me in tears," share the bride. "Two and I love it, and want it to be our last dance."

Next up for the couple? A honeymoon in Tulum with over the water bungalows. "We are excited to have a little fun, get away, and just enjoy being Mr. and Mrs. Lewis.
