Melissa McCarthy is simply hilarious. Whatever movie of hers you watch—whether it’s Bridesmaids or Identify Thief—we can guarantee two hours chock-full of belly laughs. The actress has been in too many movies to count and is also slated to play Ursula in the upcoming and highly anticipated live-action version of The Little Mermaid.

And funny runs in the family—well, marriage. The star’s husband Ben Falcone is also an actor and comedian, and whether you know or not, you’ve probably seen him in some things.

For starters, you know Airline Marshal Jon in Bridesmaids? The one that McCarthy’s character Megan sits next to and hits on during the flight? Yup, that’s her McCarthy’s husband. We certainly do not know how those two kept a straight face while filming. So what else is there to know about Falcone? We’ve rounded up six things you need to know about the second half of this hilarious comedic duo.

He Works On Melissa’s Movies—A lot

We’ll never unsee that, er, sub sceneat the end of Bridesmaids—you know which one we’re referring to. But did you know he makes little cameos in a lot of her movies. Like when he pops up as the motel desk clerk in Identity Theft, as an American tourist in Spy, and an Uber driver in Life of the Party. Seems the two live and work well together. But he’s also had some bigger roles in her films, as well. He and McCarthy co-wrote The Boss, which he also directed—and showed up again as Marty.

Of course, he has his own projects and has appeared in a number of other blockbuster hits like What to Expect When You're Expecting and Office Christmas Party.

They Met in 1998

According to The Hollywood Reporter, two met during an improv class at the legendary, LA-based improv company Groundlings. The two teamed up to write a hilarious improv sketch, and they’ve been making each other laugh ever since. Of course this was before McCarthy hit it big becoming the household name she is today. We love that they came from the same beginning.

They Have Two Kids

The couple shares two daughters Vivian, born on May 5, 2007, and Georgette, born on March 22, 2010, who actually made their film debuts in their parents’s movie, The Boss. After months of begging the parents finally decided to allow the girls to be in the movie. But during an interview with E News! , McCarthy both said she told the kids can wait until after college for their next movie appearance.

Falcone has done some work on the Looney Toons Show

Back in 2011 and 2012, Falcone voiced a few characters on four different episodes of the Cartoon Network show. He played Henery Hawk, as well as Barnyard Dawg.

He Appeared in Matt LeBlanc’s Short-Lived Spinoff of Friends called Joey

After Friends went off the air, Matt LeBlanc received a spinoff where Joey moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. Falcone appeared in 17 episodes as Howard. The show sadly went off the air in 2006.

They Recently Celebrated Their 16th Wedding Anniversary

In Oct. 2021, the couple celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary. Falcone took to Instagram to celebrate their special day with a sweet tribute to McCarthy.

"Sixteen years ago today, I was lucky enough to marry to the most wonderful person in the world," he wrote alongside an image of the pair dancing at their wedding. "Happy Anniversary Mooch! Love you, here’s to 400 more (for a few of those I am assuming we shall need to be be at least partially robotic beeeeeep!)"

One year prior, McCarthy shared her own touching message in honor of the couple's 15th wedding anniversary.

"15 years ago today I married the kindest, funniest and weirdest human I’ve ever met. Grateful every single day!!!," she wrote in Oct. 2020 next to an image of her and Falcone kissing at their nuptials. Here's to many more happy anniversaries for the longtime couple!
