Fairytales really do come true—just ask Lily Collins and her now-husband Charlie McDowell who wed in a magical Colorado ceremony over the weekend. The two "officially became each other's forevers" on September 4 in a fairytale book-worthy wedding in Dunton Springs, Colorado.
From quaint country chic decorations to the star's angelic lace Ralph Lauren gown, the entire weekend was dripping in cottagecore details. The gorgeous country floral arrangements and antique props and decorations put the bespoke finishing touches on the charming weekend.
We've gathered all the details you need to know about the actress and the director's ethereal nuptials from the rustic venue to the stunning lace dress with that bridal hood.
The couple's nuptials took place at the Dunton Hot Springs in Colorado, an enchanted wooded resort with charming log cabins surrounding the picturesque San Juan mountains and mineral hot springs. One stunning photo—taken by Cedar & Pines—captured Collins and McDowell sharing a kiss in front of a cascading waterfall and stacked red rocks.
The venue often hosts weddings and offers couples the chance to exclusively rent out the entire camp for the special day with personalized menus crafted by the in-house chef and luxury accommodations for up to 40 guests.
The Guest List
Considering the 40-guest cap at the resort, we can only imagine that the wedding was a fairly intimate affair. Charlie McDowell's mother, actress Mary Steenburgen, was in attendance at the nuptials. The Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist actress posted a sweet photo with her son in a chic mother-of-the-groom dress also by Ralph Lauren.
"Most glorious weekend ever!" she wrote. Collins' Emily in Paris costar and good friend Ashley Park also attended the private celebration. She reposted Collins's post to her Instagram story writing, "Magical weekend celebrating the love of these magical humans."
Collins wore a gorgeous lace A-line gown by Ralph Lauren that perfectly melded with the backdrop and theme of the magical weekend. The fitted dress had long lace sleeves and an embroidered mock neck and flowed into a lace train.
Intricate floral embroidered lace covered the entirety of the dress, laying over a plain stark white background.
Instead of a veil, the Mank actress opted for a unique lace bridal hood and cathedral-length cape. Under the veil, Collins wore her hair in a sleek, middle-parted low bun. She also appeared to adorn the crown of her head with a tiny braid or twist.
The Emily in Paris star and her groom's wedding oozed rustic elegance, perfected by Heirlooms Designs, also known as Elsa Jagniecki, a wedding planner who specializes in bespoke events.
The dreamy event featured charming country accents, including bushels of what look to be handpicked flowers, as well as vintage and antique furniture, china, glassware, and suitcases.
Jagniecki captured little snapshots of all the idyllic details and shared them to her Instagram story, as well as behind the scenes moments.
She also posted a photo of the blue grass quartet, Birds of Play, that seem to have played during either the ceremony or reception.
