Ever since Lana Condor announced her engagement to Anthony De La Torre on January 28, 2022, the couple has been busy preparing for their upcoming nuptials. Although the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before star admits arranging the details for their big day has felt overwhelming, there’s one wedding-planning task that came pretty easily to her: finding her wedding dress. During Kate Spade’s Fall 2023 presentation for New York Fashion Week on February 10, 2023, Condor opens up to People about the moment she knew she found “the one.” “Oh, it felt the most me,” she shares. “I just felt the most me. I felt the most Lana. I felt the most comfortable.”

When searching for her wedding dress, the actress tells the outlet that she adopted the same approach she applies to her everyday fashion. “I feel like you should dress in what makes you feel safe,” she says. “I always want to feel safe in my body, and I always want to feel comforted, so I put pieces together that make me feel that way. I carried that through for my wedding dress.”

Even though Condor says planning their wedding has been stressful, she explains to the publication that the process has also been a learning opportunity. “I should have known,” she laughs. “It’s all the little things.” To cope with the stress of orchestrating such a momentous occasion, the actress says she might just have to buy a Kate Spade bag with “Love” written on it. “I’m planning a wedding, so I’m trying to stay inspired because it can be very stressful,” she notes. “I need that bag, so that any time I get stressed, I can just look at the bag. I’ll feel the love, the calm.”

The actress doesn’t reveal any details on what her ensemble for the special day looks like or when she intends on tying the knot, but one thing’s for certain: she can’t wait to say “I do.” In March of 2022, Condor gushed to People about how her fiancé is the perfect person for her. “I’m very, very, very excited," she gushed. "Anthony is my absolute best friend. He's my person. He's that warrior that's been with me every step of the way over the past six years of my world changing. I just always want to be by his side, and he's been the most supportive person in my career. He's my warrior rock. Times where I just feel like I can't do anything or I'm deeply exhausted, he's always been there."

When Condor shared her engagement news on Instagram last year, she also expressed her excitement to tie the knot with Torre, her partner of eight years. “Saying YES was the easiest decision I’ve ever made,” she wrote. “I consider myself the absolute luckiest woman alive to live in your sphere. Aside from my father, without a doubt, you are the greatest man in the world. Emmy & Timmy said it’s about time mommy & daddy got engaged!!!”

In the post, the actress also uploaded a carousel of engagement photos that Lucas Rossi shot, including a closeup of her sparkler: an oval-shaped diamond ring. In her caption, she shared the details behind the design process. "Anthony worked with the INCREDIBLE Vietnamese female-owned @parisjewellerscanada to design the most stunning piece I’ve ever seen!” she exclaimed. “The fact he knew how important it was to me that he’d collaborate with a Vietnamese company to help design my ring is a testament to just how truly thoughtful he always is. I cannot wait to be your wife, baby. I love you a million times over."
