Lady Gaga is giving us '80s bride nostalgia—like major The Wedding Singer vibes. The singer and actress has been spotted getting into character in Rome, Italy, on the set of the upcoming Gucci biopic, House of Gucci. In the chicest outfits, might we add. But what else would you expect from the woman playing Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio Gucci's ex-wife?
The pictures of the "Bad Romance" singer on set first in a more casual bridal look, then in a wedding gown are from what we'd assume to be a scene chronicling Reggiani and Gucci's 1973 wedding.
She wears a lace knee-length strapless look with a matching shawl, completed with a black belt embellished with a gold buckle (no, not the double Gs, unfortunately.) She also paired the look with pearl drop-earrings and strappy black and white pumps. This dress would be perfect today for a shower, rehearsal dinner, or even a mini-mony.
In a separate scene, she was spotted in an '80s-inspired over-the-top A-line wedding gown with floral detailing, a sweetheart neckline, and a long-sleeved sheer overlay. Her hair was fastened into a beehive updo complete with a gorgeous, lace-lined floor length veil. She paired the dress with pearly-white satin, pointy-toe pumps
The Stupid Love singer shared the first look on Instagram last month (and practically broke the internet in the process) with her co-star Adam Driver, who will be playing Gucci. Gaga sports a black turtleneck with puffy sleeves and gold costume jewelry. She topped off the look with a white fur hat. Driver wore a turtleneck cable-knit sweater and white ski pants.
The drama, directed by Ridley Scott, also stars Jared Leto as fashion designer Paolo Gucci. The snapshots of the cast on set has created quite a bit of buzz and hype surrounding the film. We know we cannot wait for its release — if for nothing else then the amazing fashion. We cannot wait to see her walk down the aisle in these sophisticated, time-appropriately looks.
