While we've spent the last week recovering from the holiday weekend, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest have been busy with something else: Planning a wedding for two essential workers on Live with Kelly and Ryan!

Part of the morning show's "I in I Do Week," Ripa and Seacrest have spent the last five days throwing together a wedding celebration for bridge and tunnel officers Rasheda Patton and Anthony Presley and today, the Brooklyn-based couple finally said "I do" on national television.

Like so many couples this year, COVID-19 caused the couple to cancel their June 2020 destination wedding in St. Martin. But even though their destination dreams were foiled, Ripa and Seacrest made a summer wedding for this couple possible.

In a socially distant ceremony officiated by talk show host Tamron Hall, Patton and Presley wed in their backyard (which was transformed into a gorgeous garden venue!). And while the couple is now husband and wife, the past week leading up to big day has been full of preparations.

Earlier in the week, Live hosts welcomed the Cake Boss Buddy Valastro for a virtual cake tasting via Skype. After tasting several flavors like chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and red velvet with cream cheese, the bride and groom-to-be decided on vanilla cake with coconut buttercream and pineapple.

The end result was a three-tier, flower-adorned confection from Valastro and Carlo's Bakery. The newlyweds cut into the cake and gave each other a bite after the ceremony.

Rasheda and Anthony also shared the first dance with a surprise performance by Calvin Richardson. On Wednesday, they perfected their dance moves with Dancing With The Stars pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson during a virtual dance lesson in their living room.

As the rest of the wedding day unfolded, other special guests like Jerry O'Connell, Rebecca Romijn, Mark Consuelos and more were there to witness the first look, virtual vows and a champagne toast, along with viewers!
