We love a power duo—especially when diamonds are involved. Monique Lhuillier has teamed up with Kay Jewelers to create a romantic bridal jewelry collection in a "dream come true" partnership for both industry-leading brands. "Kay is the authority in the [fine jewelry] space," Lhuillier tells Brides. An authority herself, the Monique Lhuillier empire boasts ready-to-wear, lingerie, home décor, fragrance, accessories, and, of course, wedding gowns.

The collection, Monique Lhuillier BLISS, feels like a natural extension of her brand. "The amount of detail I put in my dresses you’ll see in the rings," she says. "I’m very influenced by florals and lace, so you’ll see all that work interpreted in metals and in diamonds." The collection features engagement rings and wedding bands set in white, rose, and yellow gold. There's a center stone option for every style, including round, oval, pear, emerald, marquise, and princess-cut diamonds.

Symbolism is a theme that runs through the collection. "[A ring] symbolizes a huge milestone and also the optimism of building a life together," she says. "You’re going to wear [your engagement ring] every single day leading up to the wedding and for the rest of your life so I wanted it to really be special." She designed the intertwining bands of the rings to represent two becoming one, and each piece features Lhuillier’s iconic “XO” signature, which serves as a little love note to the couple.

I only want to put things out there that will enhance somebody’s life, that’s my design philosophy.

Thinking beyond the jewels themselves, she also designed the ring boxes to be functional and discreet, fitting perfectly in a pocket or suit jacket. She even put thought into the pedestals in the display cases you'll find exclusively at select Kay locations, using inspiration from the natural, twirling movement of a wedding gown. "I only want to put things out there that will enhance somebody’s life, that’s my design philosophy."
