Julia Roberts Reveals the Secret to a Successful Marriage

Julia Roberts has the ticket to a long-lasting marriage. In an interview with E! News on October 12, 2022, the Eat Pray Love actress revealed the reason why she’s stayed married to Danny Moder for 20 years. “I always say the same thing, and I’m sticking with it,” she told the publication. “It’s making out. Lots of making out.”

George Clooney, who accompanied Roberts during the exclusive interview for their new movie, Ticket to Paradise, chimed in. “I make out with Danny, too,” The Descendants star quipped. He then proceeded to agree with the advice. “Well, that’s a good one,” he said. “I will say that.”

When Clooney was asked the question, he joked that he isn’t allowed to give marriage advice because he tied the knot later in life until he finally shared, “I just kind of have to look at it as I’m the luckiest human being around and then just appreciate that.”

All jokes aside, both actors have several years of marriage under their belt, so their advice carries weight. The Notting Hill actress said “I do” to Moder in July of 2002, and they’re parents to teens Henry, Phinneas, and Hazel. Ocean's 11 actor has been married to Amal Clooney for eight years, and share twins Alexander and Ella together.
