Josh Duhamel just revealed more details about his recent wedding to Audra Mari, which took place on September 10, 2022 in North Dakota. On The Late Late Show, which aired on September 20, 2022, The Lost Husband star told host James Corden the story behind his pre-wedding injury, which happened on the party bus after his rehearsal dinner.

“So, I think I’m gonna hang from the rafters inside the party bus and start crowd surfing across the top of it, and I throw my back out,” he recounted. “The one day you have to be able to walk is down that aisle. And, it was like, touch and go right up until an hour before the wedding.”

The Shotgun Wedding actor explained that he went to the emergency room that night and received medication, which helped keep the pain at bay on his wedding day. “Then, [I] woke up the next morning [and] couldn’t get out of bed again,” he shared. As of now? Duhamel says his back is “pretty good.”

Thankfully, the duo was able to tie the knot on the rooftop of the Jasper Hotel. TMZ was the first to report the wedding news. Then, Mari confirmed the occurrence with an Instagram post, showing off her elegant long-sleeve ballgown and Duhamel's dapper black tuxedo. "Everything I dreamed of as a little girl..I’M MARRIED!! 🤍" she gushed.

The Safe Haven actor first started dating the beauty pageant contestant in October 2019 after meeting through mutual friends. In January 2022, Duhamel announced his engagement to Mari with a sweet Instagram post, which included a photo of the pair smiling on the beach while Duhamel held a letter that read, “Audra Diane Mari Will You Marry Me?” “It’s on,” he captioned the post. “She found a message in a bottle that washed ashore and said YES!!”
