Jennifer Lopez Is About to Be a Bride Again—Get a First Look at Her Role in "Shotgun Wedding"

Jennifer Lopez gets to be a bride again. Just months after saying “I do” to Ben Affleck—the two tied the knot in August of 2022—the singer-turned-actress will walk down the aisle on screen. Lopez is set to play Darcy in Shotgun Wedding, a romantic comedy about a bride and groom (Tom, played by Josh Duhamel) whose destination wedding unravels.

In the movie, Darcy dons an ethereal off-the-shoulder tulle ball gown, which beloved bridal fashion designer Galia Lahav created with costume designer Mitchell Travers. Since the story transitions from an idyllic celebration with all of their friends and family to a chaotic escapade once everyone is taken hostage, the custom design also starts to fall apart. Throughout the course of the film, the gown rips and tears, so the designer created 28 versions of the dress in just one month, Galia Lahav’s PR tells Brides.

In February of 2022, Duhamel opened up to People about his experience shooting the action film with Lopez. “She is a boss in the best way,” the actor told the publication. “I had one of the most fun times ever making that movie.”
