Jennifer Lawrence has been busy planning her wedding, but some people think she might have officially tied the knot after she was seen leaving an NYC marriage bureau with her future husband Cooke Maroney.
According to Page Six, the actress was spotted with Maroney, two security guards, and a friend. She was wearing a grey, casual blaze and she was clutching a piece of paper, although no one could make out what exactly it was. A now-deleted tweet that Page Six reportedly saw from someone inside the building read, “When you go get your marriage license and Jennifer Lawrence walks by to tie the knot before your eyes. Yeah, kids, City Hall is COOL. The place to go!”
Later, sources told Page Six that the friend who accompanied Lawrence and Maroney was actually Mark Seliger, a celebrity photographer lensman who has shot for GQ and Vanity Fair. That ignited further speculation that perhaps the two had gotten married, and asked Seliger to capture the moment. An image obtained by the New York Post reportedly shows Maroney trying to cover his left hand.
Lawrence and Maroney got engaged in February. Lawrence had opened up about wedding planning during an interview with Catt Sadler on her podcast, NAKED with Catt Sadler, and shared that the process hadn't been too stressful.
"I've been in a good place. I haven't been neurotic about it. I'm like too lazy to be neurotic," she said, adding that most of the big decisions came to her pretty easily. "I saw a dress I liked, I was like, 'That's the dress.' I saw a venue, I was like, 'Cool, we got the venue.'" Maybe she crossed one more item off the list by doing all the official paperwork at the NYC bureau.
