Jenna Dewan Says She'd Consider a Courthouse Wedding With Steve Kazee

Jenna Dewan might be hearing wedding bells in the near future. In an exclusive interview with E! News at the Baby2Baby Gala on November 12, 2022, the Step Up star shared that she and Steve Kazee are hoping to get married in 2023. “I think that is our plan,” the actress and dancer reveals. “We are really instinctual people, so we just go with the flow.” 

Dewan didn’t unpack her vision or discuss any of the details, but she did mention that a laid-back ceremony is a potential option. “We might just hop up and go to the courthouse one day with two people and be done with it,” she explains. 

Even though the She Made Them Do It actress hasn’t booked a venue or finalized the type of event they’re throwing just yet, she does have one big-day requirement already in mind: It's essential to the bride-to-be that her children play important roles in the celebration. “As long as Evy’s the flower girl, we’ll be good,” she says. “That’s her only request, and a ring bearer, Callum.” Dewan is a mother to Everly, whom she shares with ex-husband Channing Tatum, and Callum, whom she shares with Kazee. 

While sharing her wedding updates with E! News at the Baby2Baby event, Dewan sported her bridal whites. The star wore Monique Lhuillier for the occasion and donned a white sparkly beaded gown with a deep V-neck and a dramatic slit by the designer. The getup was a nod to the charity, which provides necessities to children living in poverty, according to the former backup dancer for Janet Jackson. “I took the theme seriously,” she jokes, “I am a Baby2Baby angel. It’s obviously an incredible charity. However, I see firsthand how they walk their talk. Down to the formula shortage to diapers to disasters, they are on the front lines.”

The latest on Dewan’s wedding comes just two years after the Tempting Fate actor popped the question. On February 18, 2020, Dewan announced the big news with a sweet couple shot, which showcased her stunning sparkler. “A lifetime to love and grow with you…you have my heart ❤️,” the actress captioned her post. 

Kazee also posted the same shot and took to Instagram to express his excitement. “When you wake in the morning, I will kiss your face with a smile no one has ever seen,” he wrote. “When you wake in the morning, I will kiss your eyes and say it’s you I have loved all these years.”

The duo first met after mutual friends set them up. By the end of 2018, the couple was an item, and they’ve been going strong ever since. In 2020, they welcome their first child together, Callum. "Becoming a mother is quite simply the absolute best most incredible thing that has ever happened to me," Jenna announced on Instagram. “@stevekazee you are a gift from above and i couldn't be more excited to be expanding our family together...! Thank you guys for all the love!!"
