In case you missed it, Jasmine Tookes and Juan David Borrero's wedding day took the internet by storm this week. The supermodel and the Snapchat International Markets Director tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Quito, Ecuador over the Labor Day weekend. And while the ceremony, floral arrangements, and top-tier food all played a part in the success of the big day, Tookes' stunning ballgown and Old Hollywood inspiration definitely stole the show.
The runway model told Vogue that she always knew she wanted Zuhair Murad to design her wedding dress. “I wanted him to make my dress from the moment I walked in his first couture show,” she told the publication. “I sent him my inspiration, and he drew up the most beautiful and timeless dress that I have ever seen.”
Her inspiration? None other than late Hollywood starlet Grace Kelly and her timeless wedding dress. Tookes took to her Instagram story on Thursday to give her followers a glimpse at the making of her dress and the process, sharing a photo of the actress on her wedding day.
"Inspo," she wrote over top of a black-and-white photo of Kelly. In the image, Kelly wears a high-neck and long sleeve dress with intricate lace detailing, similar to Jasmine's special gown. The former Victoria's Secret angel posted close-up snapshots of her dress to showcase the similarities. On the actual picturesque day, photographer Daniel Maldonado captured a host of beautiful moments from the event.

Jasmine's lace dress, long sleeves, and high neckline closely resembled the actress' 1956 gown—even down to her lace-adorned headpiece and veil. For the ceremony, Tookes wore a simple A-line, long sleeve, high-neck lace gown that was then paired with an ivory ballgown skirt that had a thick, belted midsection, like Kelly's. Lace detailing trickled down the tops of the satin skirt, and her lace-trimmed veil and matching headband also resembled Kelly's wedding accessories. Even her middle-parted, low bun hairstyle was a nod to the starlet's wedding day 'do.
The back of the ballgown showcased folded pleats, which flowed into the large skirt with elegant lace accents and a long train. Her lace-trimmed, longer-than-cathedral-length veil gently laid overtop of the ballgown, creating a statement-making moment at the church ceremony.
After the traditional Catholic wedding, Tookes shed the top skirt and partied in the all-lace, A-line gown, which allowed her to move freely and dance until the wee hours at her reception. It's safe to say Jasmine and Zuhair Murad absolutely nailed this classic look.
