Yet another celebrity wedding has been postponed due to Coronavirus. James Middleton and his fiancée Alizee Thevenet have decided to delay their upcoming nuptials in the wake of the pandemic.
Kate Middleton's brother and his French fiancée were planning on tying the knot this summer in a ceremony that was sure to be both royal and star-studded alike. "It's very sad, but it's just not practical to hold it in this crisis," a source close to Middleton told the Daily Mail. "Holding an AngloFrench wedding is impossible in the coming months and is still likely to be difficult in the summer."
While Middleton has yet to announce a new wedding date the source also revealed the couple "would prefer to wait until all their guests are able and happy to attend."
Middleton proposed to Thevenet in October 2019 while the pair was spending time in England's Lake District. He popped the question with a square-cut blue stone ring, which appeared to be inspired by the sapphire engagement ring Prince William presented his sister in 2010.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple first met in 2018 thanks to a chance encounter at the South Kensington Club where they bonded over Middleton's cocker spaniel. When the duo does walk down the aisle, we can only hope their pup makes an appearance as well as Middleton's adorable royal nephews and niece, too! We already know Prince George and Princess Charlotte are excellent wedding attendants!
