A Navy Striped Save-The-Date With Pink Flowers

Courtesy of Minted

If you're throwing a springtime wedding, check out this design from online stationer, Minted. Your names are digitally printed in a lovely calligraphed script (this font is one of our all-time favorites!) and surrounded by a romantic wreath of flowers and leaves. We especially love the subtle striped backdrop. It adds a touch of preppiness to a very elegant design. We think this is the perfect choice if you're hosting an outdoor wedding, maybe at a botanical garden or a historic estate.

A Hand-Painted Save-The-Date

Courtesy of Jolly Edition

If you're looking for completely one-of-a-kind wedding stationery, consider the beautiful hand-illustrated designs by Jolly Edition. Husband-and-wife team, Laura and Tom, are the duo behind Jolly Edition. The artistic couple met in New York City before moving to Cambridge, England, where they are currently based.

Each piece of stationery, like the lovely spring-themed save-the-date pictured above, is entirely drawn and painted from scratch. To get to know your love story and understand your wedding's aesthetic, Laura and Tom often hold video conference calls with couples over Skype to brainstorm ideas and designs. We love the warm, vintage feel of this one, and we're sure every wedding guest would be compelled to mark his or her calendar for the romantic wedding that's sure to come.

A Bright, Colorful Floral Save-The-Date

Courtesy of Up Up Creative

If you're on a tight stationery budget, it's a good idea to consider one of the myriad stationers offering designs as a print-ready PDF. More and more online companies are offering this service, and it's a very wallet-friendly option if you're willing to roll up your sleeves and print your invites at home. How it usually works: after you choose a design, the stationer will customize the text with your wedding information, then email you a proof. Upon approval, you'll be emailed a print-ready file (usually a PDF), along with paper/cardstock guidelines. Then, you take the PDF and print the stationery directly from your home computer and printer.

This design—by one of our favorite online stationers, Up Up Creative, costs just $40 for the print-ready file (you need to purchase your own cardstock separately). The design was inspired by old book covers but is spiced up with bold, bright colors and modern type. If you're pressed for time and would rather have Up Up Creative print it for you, the price is $1 per save-the-date (includes envelopes).

Romantic Save-The-Date With Watercolor Florals

Courtesy of Wedding Paper Divas

Watercolor is a major stationery trend right now, and we love this very pretty—and affordable—take by Wedding Paper Divas. Designed by Philadelphia-based stationery studio, Bird & Banner (another one of our all-time favorites), this save-the-date features illustrated florals on the top and bottom of the square-shaped card, paired with perfectly imperfect watercolor hues. Best of all is the price: just $1.34 per card (including envelopes). The design is perfect for a garden wedding; the flowers and splashes of color convey an outdoor celebration that's full of romance.

A Black-And-White Floral Save-The-Date With Polka Dots

Courtesy of Love vs. Design

For a modern take on a spring save-the-date, we love this black-and-white option by stationer Love vs. Design. The white text really pops against the bold black stripes, and the smattering of florals adds a touch of romance. But it's the all-over Swiss-dot pattern that really gets us; we love how the pattern lends a charming sweetness to the overall design. In addition to the standard card, this design is also available as a magnet ($250 for 100) or printed on ultrathick (200-pound) stock ($306 for 100).

"High Contrast" save-the-date, $170 for 100, Love vs. Design

A Green Ombré Save-The-Date

Courtesy of Paperless Post

Ombré is another wedding trend that's still holding strong, and we love this spring-green design available on Paperless Post. Of course, you could send this save-the-date electronically (it would arrive in each guest's email inbox), but Paperless Post recently launched a line of actual paper cards, and, luckily, this design is available to purchase as a printed card. Created by stationer, Erin Jang, this save-the-date is a great way to give your wedding guests a sneak peek at your stylish spring celebration.

A Bold Floral Save-The-Date

Courtesy of Smitten on Paper

If you're as partial to bold florals as we are, you'll appreciate this design by Smitten on Paper. Black-centered flowers (they're sort of anemone-like, or maybe they're poppies?) are front and center, but the best part is that the card is actually double-sided. The backside can be printed with a full-bleed photograph, making it ideal for showing off your engagement photos or a favorite snapshot from a recent vacation.

A Garden Party Save-The-Date

Courtesy of E.M. Papers

If you're hosting a more casual outdoor wedding reception, consider this design by E.M. Papers. The grassy backdrop and glowing string of café lights set just the right tone; your guests will know immediately that they are in for a festive outdoor celebration. Best of all, this save-the-date is available as a print-ready PDF for just $24, which means once stationer Eleanor Mayrhofer customizes it with your text, you can purchase your own cardstock and simply print from home.

A Yellow Floral Save-The-Date

Courtesy of Minted

For spring weddings, we love this sweet design by Jennifer Wick for Minted—it's like a vintage handkerchief. The wreath of flowers and fruit encircling the couple's names is so pretty, and the splashes of lemon yellow would nicely complement an outdoor reception at a farm or fruit orchard, or even in someone's backyard.

A Spring Terrarium Save-The-Date

Courtesy of Quill & Fox

We're obsessed with terrariums, which means we pretty much flipped out when we saw this whimsical save-the-date by Oregon-based stationer Quill & Fox. The hand-painted design features an illustrated glass cloche filled with moss and springtime blooms growing inside, paired with a chalkboard sign sweetly announcing the couple's wedding date and location. Proprietor Yas Imamura, together with her husband, Andrew, set up their small stationery studio two years ago, and we're a big fan of their wonderfully creative work.

A Botanical Save-The-Date

Courtesy of Paperless Post

If you're looking for a spring save-the-date that's equal parts elegant and whimsical, check out this design from Paperless Post. Available in a printed card as well as an electronically mailed version, it has a wonderful botanical quality and reminds us of vintage specimen prints. We love the pairing of very minimalist fonts; the combination feels perfectly balanced and fresh. It's the perfect save-the-date for a wedding held at a botanical garden or floral/garden shop like Terrain (located in Pennsylvania and Connecticut).
