What to look for in a bridal party gift
First, think about what your bridal party might need or want to feel comfortable and prepared for the big day. Think—a tumbler to stay hydrated, hand cream or fragrance to feel refreshed, a pretty robe, or favorite snacks. Then, consider gifts that feel special and personalized like custom jewelry that she'll wear long after the ceremony. Lastly, look for items like pretty candles or at-home spa treatments that will give her a dose of relaxation post-wedding weekend.
What are some unique bridal party gifts?
While it's always good to have a small physical token to give to each member of your bridal party, experiential gifts are also a thoughtful way to show your gratitude. A gift certificate for a massage or facial, a wine club membership, or a gift card for their favorite coffee shop will always be appreciated. Also, regardless of your gift, make sure to include a heartfelt card.
"One of my favorite gifts for a bridal party on the wedding day are custom clutches with names or initials," says event planner Heather Loewenthal. "It's something they'll appreciate at the wedding, but will also use forever." Lowenthal also recommends matching PJs or robes for the big day. "Style them to match your wedding palette and theme," she suggests. "It makes for perfect photos!"
Should I make a bridal party gift box or bag?
It's a nice idea to gather several items in a box or bag to present to each member of your bridal party. It's possible to buy pre-made gift sets, but it's also easy to make your own. Choose several small personalized items like a wine tumbler, compact, or piece of jewelry to start. Add in beauty products, day-of essentials, or self-care treats. You can also personalize the tote or box everything is packaged in for an extra-special gift!
Should I give a gift when I ask them to be part of my bridal party?
"It’s not necessary, but definitely a trend right now," says Lowenthal. "A small gift or token of appreciation will let them know how excited you are to have them by your side."
