Whether you're a classic or a bold bride, accessories have the power to pull your entire wedding day look together, and statement earrings are a perfect finishing touch. From delicate chandelier styles to fashion-forward ear-cuffs, you can never go wrong with an eye-catching earring for any bridal ensemble.
"When you're shopping for bridal statement earrings, the most important feature to look for is something that accentuates and complements the neckline of the dress, as well as to find earrings that go with the hairstyle you are planning," says Sahar Manley, the Co-Founder of CAMILLA SERETTI.
If you're looking to up the ante on your wedding day, opt for earrings that come in bold lengths and shapes, and feature unique details like oversized pearls and bright pops of color. Of course, not all statement earrings have to be dramatic to command attention. Crystal drop earrings will always be a classic look, and delicate shoulder-grazing earrings can highlight simple necklines on strapless ballgowns and slinky slip dresses.

What to Look For in Bridal Statement Earrings
Wedding Style and Aesthetic
A pair of bridal statement earrings make for the perfect finishing touch to any wedding day look–be it classic and traditional or laidback and bohemian. When picking out a pair of statement earrings, it's always important to take your wedding dress style into consideration.
For example, if you're looking to add a little glamour to a simple slip dress, you could opt for shoulder-grazing earrings complete with shimmering crystals or go bold with a pair of brightly colored studs. For wedding dresses with all-over beading, you can either dial up the glitz and glamour with chandelier earrings designed with cascading pearls and diamonds or, alternatively, go for a more minimalist look with a pair of simple and traditional drop earrings.
When searching for statement earrings, it's also essential to consider the hairstyle you want to wear on your wedding day. If you want to make your earrings pop, styles pulled back behind your ears will offer maximum opportunity to strut your stunning accessories. "Generally speaking, a sexy, loose updo is the best way to showcase some fabulous earrings," says Manley.
However, if you want to wear a half-up hair-do or loose curls, statement earrings that are larger in size or bolder in color should be your go-to. This way, they can stand out from underneath your luscious locks.
What are the best hairstyles to complement statement earrings?
"When it comes to bridal hairstyles, simple and classic are the best routes to take so you aren't looking back in 10 years and cringing! When wearing a statement earring for your wedding you should think about your hair color, which seems unusual, but darker hair will show off statement earrings when worn half-up or with an ear tuck, while on blondes the earring could get lost," celebrity hairstylist Briana Dunning advises. "If you are blonde, consider going all the way up or creating a style that will clear the hair from behind the ear like a braid."
Can I wear colored statement earrings with my wedding dress?
"In my opinion, anything is okay to do or wear on your wedding day, as long as it makes you feel fabulous and happy," Manley says. "Traditionally, the more muted colors, like the creams and the pearl and the pink colors, are best suited for wedding dress looks."
Can I wear statement earrings for my casual wedding?
Absolutely! According to Manley, "wearing something long and dangling with rhinestones is super simple and sexy. I literally designed my Lexxi Drip Earrings for this exact purpose. The rhinestones make it really sexy, and the length is perfect for any kind of neckline or hair length."
What statement earrings are best for a black-tie wedding?
"I personally like wearing platinum or silver-colored jewelry for black tie weddings or events. I feel like gold is so much easier to blend into everyday jewelry and everyday outfits," Manley shares. "When you put diamonds or rhinestone jewelry up against platinum or silver metal, the look is just flashier and all around more sparkly!"
