If you’re still using those mismatched, threadbare towels from your dorm-room days, it’s a sign you need an #upgrade—and fast. Time to add some chic bathroom accessories to your wedding registry!
“The bathroom is an area to splurge on, just for yourself and your partner,” says New York City–based designer Young Huh. But there’s no need to do a total renovation to make the space warm and welcoming. Adding new towels and glam storage touches will keep things orderly and lift your spirits daily. “Register for towels and accessories that reflect your joint aesthetic, whether it’s traditional monogrammed linens or modern, organic pieces,” suggests Huh.
The trick is to make your space appealing to the senses. Keep the vibe clean and calm, and then let textures, soft colors, and heavenly scents take it up a notch. We’re talking bathroom accessories like soft linens, glossy decanters, and fragrant room sprays or scented candles. When it comes to towels, super absorbent cotton is the name of the game. Look for Egyptian, Turkish, or pima varieties, which tend to be teddy-bear plush. “You’ll want to register for at least six sets (two in use, two in the laundry, two stored away for guests),” notes Huh. Stow toothpaste, vitamins, and ugly plastic jars in the cabinet; keep prettier containers on the countertop. Baskets or a touch of green in a potted plant or a vase add to the ahhh-I’m-at-a-spa feel.
Below, check out the spa-like bathroom accessories that are wedding registry essentials!
