You might say that Sex and the City star and fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker knows a thing or two about finding the perfect shoe. It's only natural that the woman who inspired a generation to care about Manolo Blahnik is now a major shoe designer herself. While her recently-launched bridal specific lineup features only 5 shoes—yes there's a nod to Carrie's famous blue proposal shoe SATC fans—every piece in this collection is absolutely ready to walk down the aisle. And we couldn't help but wonder... is it possible to pick just one?
Meet the Expert
Sarah Jessica Parker is an actress and designer, famous for her role as Carrie Bradshaw, the ultimate fashionista, on Sex and the City. Parker now designs shoes under the brand SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker.
Parker created the collection with a nontraditional, contemporary vibe in mind because, as she humbly phrased it, she doesn't feel equipped to design standard wedding attire, and doing so "would have been fraudulent" on her part. But, despite her lack of bridal experience, Parker strove to design a capsule that catered to women of all sizes, shapes, and backgrounds and allowed them to feel individual. Garnering inspiration from women's differences, she worked with the design team to create simple pieces that look flattering on a variety of brides.
Featuring a range of colors, fabrics, and designs (think bows and hand-stitched beading), there's truly something for everyone's big day and all other festivities leading up to it. From a gleaming updated take on the fairy tale glass slipper to the perfect Something Blue shoe, and even a cheeky nod to one of SJP's most famous SATC quotes ("Hello, lover"), this collection is the ultimate gift to fashion-forward brides-to-be.
But when thinking of wedding-ready shoes, Parker was thinking well beyond the wedding day. "It was important—and we’ve managed to create pieces—that have a life to them beyond that day," Parker told Brides exclusively. "People are spending a significant amount of money, and those decisions probably aren’t made lightly, so we’re happy to offer them something that will feel relevant in their closet today and in a few years from now."
The namesake behind the brand also confessed that when she initially launched her shoe line, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker, her designs happened to fall into the bridal market "wonderfully by accident," with brides sporting her heels down the aisle. So naturally, it only made sense that Parker would eventually add bridal to her lineup permanently.

"I think all the pieces have such specificity for a particular person, and I’m pleased with it," Parker added of the finished product.
Parker firmly admitted that she never picks favorites when it comes to her designs (or anything at all, for that matter), and we have a feeling you won't be able to narrow it down to just one, either.

If there was ever a shoe that made the case for bridal booties, it's the Minnie. With a comfortable 75mm heel, these metallic booties not only look like a disco ball on your feet, but they will also have you literally kicking back on the dance floor all night.
