Reagan and Jim in East Hampton, NY

Leaving bustling Manhattan behind, this hosted a beach summer soiree

Updated 01/24/06

For sea-and-sand lovers Reagan and Jim , having a country-club reception in East Hampton, NY was a no-brainer. Whether to include in the wedding their many family members—a total of 15 siblings and countless cousins—was more of a challenge.

In the end, this family-minded duo found a way for everyone to participate. Reagan's mom rode with her to the church (her dad had passed away a year earlier) in a vintage Rolls-Royce; 25 of the couple's nearest and dearest proceeded the bride and her eldest brother, Stephen, down the aisle; and Reagan's cousin, a minister, co-officiated with a priest who is close to the groom's family.

The bride and groom share a kiss on an East Hampton beach. In keeping with the beach theme, their reception featured Southsides (a local cocktail blended with rum, lemon and lime juices, and mint) and a raw bar starring lobster and oysters.
