Meaghan and John grew up in the same neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina, and attended the same college. But they didn't meet until 2009, after Meaghan had moved to New York. "I was home for a visit, and he was the bartender at a place I went to one night," she says. "It was a whirlwind romance—he moved up to New York a few weeks later." On their wedding day, Meaghan wore a gown by Lazaro and her veil was from Bridal Veil Falls. John sported a Burberry tux.

The couple exchanged vows at the Church of Our Lady of Peace on the Upper East Side. The ceremony was officiated by John's uncle, Father Robert McKeon.

Afterward, the couple traveled downtown to Washington Square Park to take portraits in a 1930s Rolls Royce, borrowed from friends.

The couple and their 175 guests enjoyed cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres like mini Kobe beef burgers and crab cakes on the restaurant's rooftop terrace before heading down to the main dining room for the reception.

The food stations included options like prime rib and Mediterranean fare; a buttercream-frosted wedding cake from A Simple Cake and passed mini desserts, like cheesecake lollipops and red velvet cupcakes, followed. All catering was provided by the venue.

The couple chose "Marry Song" by Band of Horses for their first dance. Music was spun by Popshop! DJs. At one point, the bride's uncle surprised the newlyweds with a performance by a group of bagpipers. "They played traditional Irish songs—everyone cheered us on as John and I danced," says Meaghan.

Meaghan also got down with her maid of honor during a favorite song by Cut Copy. "Our DJ played indie rock and house music," says Meaghan. "By the end of the night, a major dance party had erupted!"
