Another year, another breathtaking bridal collection from Peter Langner. For Spring 2017, the designer married expertly structured silhouettes and traditional shapes with modern details and refreshing fabrics. Think 3D optic organza, embossed shantung, and flutter sleeves embroidered with chiffon cubes. Wrought with revised and refined classics, Peter Langner's Spring 2017 line makes us want to grab the nearest bridal bouquet and race down that aisle.
We previously got the opportunity to sit down with the famed designer, where he revealed his top style tips for brides. Listen up, ladies because this is some majorly important advice! "Brides need to let it be a celebration," the couturier said, explaining that a bride's glow comes from more than just the perfect dress — it's in the attitude, as well. "Your mood is so much more important than a missing flower!" he noted. "And make sure to take five minutes for yourself. Send everyone out of the room and enjoy the moment."
It definitely wouldn't be hard to enjoy the moment in a wedding dress like the ones from Langner's latest line. Full of artful architectural silhouettes and fashion-forward frocks that boast a modern femininity, the Spring 2017 collection is definitely showstopping. But despite their breathtaking beauty and intricate detailing, all of the gorgeous gowns still allow the spotlight to shine on the bride, herself — which comes at no surprise considering the designer's focus on the real women who wear his dresses. "I don't want to sound crazy, but there are so many movie stars in films and advertisements, and they look fabulous (and so desirable to dress!) in that cinematic moment, but in real life if you meet one of those women, it can be hard to have a connection." Langner previously explained. "I much prefer dressing women who are interested in our work, who appreciate our ideas and have dreamed of wearing one of our gowns. We don't make gowns for stars, we make them for real people who believe in tradition and a long lasting marriage."
