Since the launch of Jenny Packham's bridal collection just two seasons ago, she has delivered nothing short of the perfect vision of a Midsummer Night's Dream — the designer has even named some of the pieces in her collection after Shakespeare's classic. The Spring 2017 wedding dress collection proved no less beautiful, but adding more of a bohemian touch, with gown beaming of old romance and modern touches. Packham's also known as one of Kate Middleton's go-to dress designers, so it's no wonder Packham's wedding gowns have made an equally as impressive mark on the bridal market.
Loose feathery waves framed every fresh face, done in a soft neutral makeup palette. Embellished beaded cap sleeves and silk tulle overlays were a reoccurring theme on the gowns, ranging from flesh tone ivories to crisp whites, and even a show stopping Jordan almond mint green. Each dress held its own ethereal essence. Glitter flock tulle trains, sparkling beaded lace, and cascading tiered skirts were all running elements throughout the collection. There were plenty of Packham's form-fitting silhouettes adorned with wild flower and foliage appliqués. Other dresses stood out in crystal illusion bodices, featuring open backs, and plunging necklines that exuded contemporary glamour.
The gowns were shown in a display reminiscent of the plains of the midwest and inspired by the afterglow of a wild and whimsical night. The collection featured a spring-appropriate palette of hazy barley, soft petal pink and morning mist celadon green. The Jenny Packham bride is a woman of modern romance, with spirit filled with wanderlust, and this collection of wedding dresses is perfect for brides looking for that spirit.
