For her Spring 2017 collection, what would make more sense for Ines Di Santo's source of inspiration than the very time of year in which it exists? Ines Di Santo paid homage to the sweetest of seasons with her latest line, a collection full of floral embroidery and the prettiest of petals. "For this collection, I pulled from spring herself," explained the designer "Imagining the flowers that emerge in the season and the path they take from seed to sunlight, I have used lace, embroideries, and movement in my gowns to push toward an unexpected place."
Luxe lace, exquisite embroidery, and marvelous movement are definitely all mainstays within Ines Di Santo's various collections. Throughout the years, the designer has played with delicate fabrics juxtaposed with striking silhouettes for wedding day wear that's uber-romantic and statement-making. Last season, however, it was all about manipulating light — from capturing the runway lights between the layers of fabric, to letting the natural sunshine glitter upon the expert beadwork as a bride glides down her alfresco aisle. And as we begin bidding hello to the first few days of springtime sunshine, beautiful blossoms are just around the corner. Hence, a Spring 2017 collection full of fancy floral frocks.
As always, Ines Di Santo's dedication to the feminine form echoes throughout the collection. "While still soft and romantic, my bride will stand dressed only for herself and the one she loves," the designer says. True to form, the Spring 2017 line is blooming with femininity and elegant extravagance. A ball gown with a pale pink floral print is both vibrant and sophisticated. The illusion bodice of a slimming sheath is implacably adorned in lace embroidery. And a classic strapless ball gown gets gussied up for spring with cascading beading. Spring is finally here and it's never looked so beautiful.
