For those lovely ladies who are true romantics at heart, Alvina Valenta is the wedding dress designer for you. Ethereal glamour, soft femininity, and modern romanticism have been meeting in holy matrimony in Alvina Valenta's collections throughout the past several bridal fashion week seasons, and the latest line from the New York City-based label evokes that same sense of lovely luxury and the magical kind of feeling that gets a gal excitedly hurrying down the aisle to say her "I do's."
Lush silks, delightful details, and figure-defining silhouettes have become rather synonymous with Alvina Valenta's wonderful wares. Just as chic as the brides who'll wear them, the wedding dresses accentuate feminine shapes and tote a sophisticated kind of sensuality. Toeing the line between classic daintiness and strong statement-making modernity, Alvina Valenta's beautiful bridal gowns use intricate embroideries and an expert, refreshingly unique use of beading and sparkle to create a collection that tells a love story between dress and designer. (And later, between about-to-be wedded couples...)
Last season, glitz and glamour were at the Fall 2016's collection's core. Cascading tulle bloomed from curve-hugging wedding dresses, and beautiful beading sparkled from the bodices. But for Spring 2017, Alvina Valenta presented a collection with a vibe that's a refined sort of bohemian, with a flirty use of fringe, chandelier-draped crystal shoulder pieces, and a free-spirited use of florals that includes ethereal embroidery and appliqués. But, as always, the fantastic frocks are also wholly glamorous with their striking silhouettes such as an organza mermaid gown, a duchess satin trumpet wedding dress with a jeweled-encrusted bodice, and a diamond white ball gown featuring asymmetrical layers of cascading embroidered tulle throughout its skirt. The result? A Spring 2017 collection that's effortlessly luxe and undeniably lovely.
